It is very evident that
our society is going through different events that sometimes make you grief,
happy, outrageous and violent. Even though, it is the nature of our society to
walk-away without noticing events around us. The reason can be hectic work
schedule or people don’t dare to dash into any troublesome situation. However,
it’s we “MetroTVBureau” always on watch for news and other events happening in
every corner of the World. Our
open cameras have caught and revealed many touching moments that are far from
general audience. On 7th July 2015, group of women at Pandara – on
the suburbs of Bhubaneswar, rummage through a government licensed wine shop.
These women blames that the wine shop is on gusto to spoil
local youths. Ramamani Pradhan was the prime activist who claims that she
already requested the excise department to move the wine shop away from the
housing location. The wine shop disturbs the residential sector by generating
crime and family disturbances. This activist with her troop banged on the
liquor shop with metal rods, sticks and stones. It was really a big deal for
the Mancheswar police to control the protestors. Metro Today News did a great job by tracing out that the Pandra
licensed liquour outlet was shifted from Rasulgarh around two years before.
On the same day, around twenty villagers and 6 policemen got
severe injury at Belbahali village, Keonjhar. The occurrence of this event rose
when police tried to eject villagers who were on dharna. These villages were
opposing the development and construction work of a bridge on river Kusei.
Sunil Kumar Kerketta – the BDO of Ghasipura also go severe injury during this
protest. Later injured policemen were
taken to Sriram Chandra Bhanj Medical College & Hospital, Cuttack. Many
renowned politicians have criticize the unethical action done by police
department and claimed that the government of Odisha should take the villages
into self-assurance before initiating any construction and development work.
