Let’s dig out some of the current Odisha news. As you all know that Odisha is a land of culture, tradition and rich heritage. The Odisha latest news focus on Puri, after the cart festival or Rath Yatra is over and soon Bahuda and then Suna Besa. Huge crowds from all across the nation and many foreigners have already joined to see this holy occasion. All most every hotel in Puri and nearby locations are packed for this auspicious occasion. Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan supported the great work of Odia director Nila Madhab Panda for his upcoming film “Kaun Kitney Paani Mein.” 

This movie is going to release on 28th August, spotlights on a conventional love story. The movie is a comedy drama where water is used a currency. Well, people of India are waiting to see some new flavor in the Indian cinema. By the end of 2022, the Odisha Government has planned to produce 3,000 megawatt (MW) renewable energy. The target include 2,300 MW in the solar sector, 350 MW from wind sources, 150 MW from the small hydro-electricity projects, 180 MW from biomass and 20 MW from municipal solid waste (MSW). 

The most qualified mountaineer of Odisha, Mr. Ganesh Jena is ready to scale Mount Elbrus. Elbrus is located in Moscow and its height is around 5642 meter. A team of 6 members are going to join to climb the Elbrus Mountain. We send wishes to Ganesh Jena and hope he makes this a grand success. The Odisha government is going to fix ceiling price for mineral transportation soon. This was informed by the Commerce and Transport Minister Ramesh Majhi today. He revealed that the State government will soon fix ceiling prices for mineral transportation in mineral bearing districts of the State.

Metro Today News – Pandara Wine Shop Rummage and Conflict on Bridge Site

It is very evident that our society is going through different events that sometimes make you grief, happy, outrageous and violent. Even though, it is the nature of our society to walk-away without noticing events around us. The reason can be hectic work schedule or people don’t dare to dash into any troublesome situation. However, it’s we “MetroTVBureau” always on watch for news and other events happening in every corner of the World. Our open cameras have caught and revealed many touching moments that are far from general audience. On 7th July 2015, group of women at Pandara – on the suburbs of Bhubaneswar, rummage through a government licensed wine shop.

These women blames that the wine shop is on gusto to spoil local youths. Ramamani Pradhan was the prime activist who claims that she already requested the excise department to move the wine shop away from the housing location. The wine shop disturbs the residential sector by generating crime and family disturbances. This activist with her troop banged on the liquor shop with metal rods, sticks and stones. It was really a big deal for the Mancheswar police to control the protestors. Metro Today News did a great job by tracing out that the Pandra licensed liquour outlet was shifted from Rasulgarh around two years before.


On the same day, around twenty villagers and 6 policemen got severe injury at Belbahali village, Keonjhar. The occurrence of this event rose when police tried to eject villagers who were on dharna. These villages were opposing the development and construction work of a bridge on river Kusei. Sunil Kumar Kerketta – the BDO of Ghasipura also go severe injury during this protest.  Later injured policemen were taken to Sriram Chandra Bhanj Medical College & Hospital, Cuttack. Many renowned politicians have criticize the unethical action done by police department and claimed that the government of Odisha should take the villages into self-assurance before initiating any construction and development work.
